We are located in majestic Osceola, WI just 40 minutes northeast of the metro area of Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN. Due to product & market growth we are looking for motivated individuals to fill the following positions:

 

GSA/Furniture Sales Manager - Xccent Play   

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

Sales Management

  1. Work in assigned market/product areas – Specifically:
    1.  Sales of site amenities and commercial playground equipment via GSA contract to government entities.
    2.  Development of catalog and internet distribution network selling site amenities product lines.
  2. Responsible for aggressively growing the business through building profitable relationships with new and existing customers.
  3. Manages a diverse set of existing site amenities distributors.
  4. Develops/makes decisions regarding existing distribution, and recruitment of new distribution to maximize sales growth.
  5. Develop relationships using communication skills, adding value to our products through excellent service.
  6. Effectively communicate benefits, features and added value of Xccent products to customers.
  7. Research and prospecting new distribution customers, developing own leads that follow the corporate distribution strategy.
  8. Responsible for meeting monthly and annual sales goals as determined.

GSA Lead Development

  1. Research GSA bid opportunities using various resources.
  2. Develop own GSA bid prospect lists, take initiative to mine information resources to turn leads into sales.
  3. Develop relationships within key government buying organizations and leverage those relationships for future sales.
  4. Determine key decision making positions within target government organizations and focus communication and prospecting to follow.

Strategic New Business Development

  1. Maintains working knowledge of government funding, flow and process and uses this understanding to guide the company in its strategic plans.
  2. Make recommendations on new product development, marketing tools and tactical & strategic marketing plans for the assigned market/product areas.
  3. Assist in decisions on strategy or focus in existing market areas.
  4. Determine possible new strategic focus areas utilizing knowledge of Xccent’s capabilities and product lines.
  5. Support marketing programs through participation in tradeshows, support of marketing activities.

Requirements

  1. Minimum 7 years successful outside sales experience, within a manufacturing company.
  2. GSA sales experience – minimum of 5 years.
  3. Experience with a Commercial Recreation Market product line is a plus.
  4. 4 year degree, preferably in a business field; MBA a plus.
  5. Travel is minimal, les than 10%.
  6. Experience & comfort with researching & developing a market, creating leads, working prospects.
  7. Excellent interpersonal skills – both in person and via phone, email, etc.
  8. Aggressive winner that is driven to meet sales goals. Self starter, fast learner, ability to work independently.
  9. Get it done attitude, tenacious abilities to do what it takes to make things happen.
  10. Demonstrated ability to network through an industry, with the intent of leveraging that network to grow sales.

REGIONAL SALES MANAGER

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Sales

  1. Responsible for meeting monthly and annual sales goals as determined
  2. Work in multiple assigned market/product areas – Specifically the commercial playground industry, residential decking and framing, other various markets
  3. Responsible for aggressively growing the business through building profitable relationships with new and existing customers
  4. Manages a diverse set of existing customers focused in regions of the USA
  5. Research and prospecting new customers, developing own leads
  6. Cold calling new prospects
  7. Develop relationships using communication skills, add value to our products through excellent service to clients
  8. Effectively communicate benefits, features and added value of Xccent products to customers

Lead Development

  1. Research target market areas using various Internet resources, industry assoc. & contacts
  2. Develop own prospect lists, take initiative to mine information resources to turn leads into sales
  3. Determine key decision making positions within target organizations and focus communication and prospecting to follow

Strategic New Business Development

  1. Make recommendations on new market areas
  2. Assist in decisions on strategy or focus in existing market areas
  3. Determine possible new strategic focus areas utilizing knowledge of Xccent’s capabilities

Sales/Marketing Support

  1. Assist in managing & administering the incoming lead process
  2. Within assigned markets, assist in determining tactical & strategic marketing plans
  3. Support marketing programs through participation in tradeshows, support of marketing activities

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Minimum 5 years successful outside sales experience, preferably within a manufacturing company
  2. 4 year degree, preferably in a business field; MBA a plus
  3. Travel is required, up to 75% at times
  4. Self starter, fast learner, ability to work independently
  5. Experience & comfort with researching & developing a market, creating leads, working prospects
  6. Excellent interpersonal skills – both in person and via phone, email, etc.
  7. Comfortable cold calling B2B prospects
  8. Aggressive winner that is driven to meet monthly and annual goals
  9. ‘Get it done’ attitude, tenacious abilities to do what it takes to make things happen
  10. Similar or related market experience a plus

SHIPPING/RECEIVING TEAM LEAD

JOB ROLE:  To supervise the warehouse area, this includes shipping and receiving, to ensure efficient and accurate receipt, storage and shipment of materials.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Be responsible for pulling, packing, and processing orders for shipment.
  2. Ensure all shipments are packaged and loaded properly to arrive in good condition. 
  3. Coordinate with production on availability of parts to meet customer delivery dates and communicate schedule changes with customer service.
  4. Set up packaging instructions for all parts, including how parts are palletized,  boxed, banded and wrapped.   
  5. Coordinate with customer service on shipping specifications/needs, including negotiating third party shipping alternatives.
  6. Process accurate inventory transactions.
  7. Coordinate material receipts, including incoming inspection and count verification.
  8. Supervise Material Handlers, conduct performance reviews, disciplinary actions and training.
  9. Investigate and pursue freight claims with the assistance of the Quality Manager.
  10. Assist in cycle counting to assure inventory accuracy & integrity.
  11. Continuously study the effectiveness of the shipping department to improve operations.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Ensure cleanliness of working environment.
  2. Ensure that safe procedures are used within assigned area.  Report and correct all safety problems

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Ability to utilize computers, shipping software and system software.
  2. 2 years of warehouse experience.
  3. Ability to work well with others.
  4. Ability to lift 75 pounds and pass Xccent physical.
  5. Ability to be Xccent certified as a forklift operator.
  6. Ability to read and write.
  7. Ability to work safely within Xccent safety rules
